Job Summary and Mission
The practice manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation
of the practice. In particular, a majority of time is spent supervising and directing the
team, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining,
discharging, and scheduling), ensuring patient satisfaction,
managing the practices financial performance, and managing safety and security within the
practice.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Leadership Setting goals for the practice team, developing practice capability, and modeling how we work together
Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and
manages smooth transitions thereafter to set a positive example for the practice team.
Drives the implementation of company programs by developing action plans and directly
motivating and instructing the practice team to implement them
Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and
mission of Gentle Dental.
Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities
to practice teammates to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Provides coaching and direction to the store team to take action and to achieve
operational goals. Constantly reviews store environment and key business indicators to
identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and
direction to the store team to achieve operational goals.
Planning and Execution Monitors and manages practice staffing levels to ensure team member development.
Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and regularly uses discretion to filter communications to the practice team. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure optimal practice operations.
Partner Development & Team Building Providing team members with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities
Actively manages team members by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve teams performance.
Challenges and inspires their team to achieve overall practice goals.
Ensures all team members adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and programs as well as by finding new, creative and effective methods of recognition.
Utilizes and demonstrates effective management principles and practices to create and maintain a successful practice team resulting in an environment where team members are valued and respected.
Summary of Required Experience
Bachelors degree
Progressively responsible retail experience with 3 years of supervision
Experience analyzing financial reports
Experience successfully driving performance to meet both team member and business goals
Passion for customer service
Passion for team building

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
