Position Description:
Performs typical machine operations to support the production floor on a variety of different machines.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks:
milling, drilling, de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect.
Must be able to learn basic machine functions on the job to perform needed production line work.
Must be able to use measuring devices and math skills to ensure work station output is accurate.
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent feedback and assistance with regards to machine set-up.
Must be able to meet production rates for specific warehouse functions within established standards.
Must have initiative and the ability to work autonomously on production processes.
Reads routing and performs work as assigned by production supervisor.
Cuts, clips, holds, or carries product(s).
Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Ability to communicate accurately and clearly (both written and verbally) Ability to consistently work scheduled shifts Competencies Teamwork Orientation Time Management Performance Management Results Driven Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
