Summary:
Under close supervision, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders and managing incoming customer calls.
Job duties:
oResponds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
oPlaces customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
oInfluences clients' gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price, within certain parameters.
oMay adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer based on competition, while maximizing the profit for client.
oBuilds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.
oOrders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for customers.
oMay place orders without approval for orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order.
oResponsible for sourcing products in branch inventory, distribution center inventory or supplier inventory.
oDetermines the most cost-effective shipping method for customer orders.
oPartners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
oExpedites backorders.
May pull inventory and prepare order for shipment to customer.
oMay handle customer returns.
oPerforms other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirement:
oMay need to lift items at times, 75 to 100 pounds.
This isn't on a daily basis but could be as needed.
o150lbs would be performed with a team lift.
