As Head of Manufacturing and Production you will oversee the entire manufacturing process (both manufacturing engineering and leading the production of our robots) at our local manufacturing facility.
This will role also be responsible for leading the development of future mass manufacturing plants.
The primary focus is on ensuring the efficient and effective production of goods while maintaining quality standards and meeting demands.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the manufacturing and production team, providing guidance, coaching, and training to improve employee skills and performance.
This role will manage Manufacturing Engineers, assembly team members, and internal logistics team members.
Develop production plans and schedules to meet demands while optimizing resources, capacity, and lead times.
Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production activities, workflow, resource allocation, and work scheduling.
Establish and maintain quality control measures and systems to ensure that products meet the required specifications and adhere to quality standards.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives, including the adoption of new technologies, automation, and industry best practices.
Manage manufacturing resources, including personnel, equipment, raw materials, and inventory, to ensure smooth operations and avoid production bottlenecks.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track manufacturing performance, such as production output, cycle time, efficiency, and quality levels.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components, optimize inventory levels, and manage supplier relationships related to production requirements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and implementing measures to mitigate workplace hazards and risks.
Collaborate with product development teams to ensure the smooth transition of new products into manufacturing, including assessing production feasibility, determining process requirements, and setting up production lines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher 5
years of experience in manufacturing engineering 5
years of production management 5
years of supervisory experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills both verbally and in a presentation format Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate through complex and evolving requirements and challenges Ability to balance between ambitious innovation and practicality without losing focus Indicators of good fit:
Knowledge of Toyota Production System Experience with quality engineering Understanding of ergonomics for assembly Knowledge of manufacturing and automation safety regulations Experience with torque tools Experience with assembly station designs Prior startup experience Experience with mobile autonomous robotics systems
